Installation & preparation
Remove old gasket material and inspect the mating surfaces before assembly. Follow the Yamaha service manual for surface preparation, gasket placement, sealant requirements, tightening sequence and torque specifications.
Yamaha reference note: OEM numbers identify corresponding original components for comparison. This is a VICTECH aftermarket four-gasket set, not a Yamaha OEM kit. The 57 mm measurement refers to the head-gasket opening, not the engine cylinder bore.

Material & construction
TEADIT NA-1005 fiber material is used for two gaskets in this VICTECH set, as confirmed by APJ Motorsports:
- Cylinder base gasket
- Cam chain tensioner gasket
The cylinder head gasket and exhaust gasket are excluded from these material specifications.
TEADIT describes NA-1005 as a compressed non-asbestos sheet combining aramid and other synthetic fibers with a nitrile rubber (NBR) binder, suitable for applications involving petroleum derivatives and oils.
